At White Satin Wedding Stationery, we use the highest quality pearlised and textured cards and papers available from a wide variety of specialist paper manufacturers, but their tactile qualities and visual appeal can only be appreciated by seeing the actual design. All our stationery is made to order and for this reason we charge a nominal £5 per sample, with a maximum of 2 samples per customer. However, this charge is completely refundable if you place an order with us. Once you have ordered your invitations, subsequent samples for reception stationery, etc are free.
Most of our designs can be produced in any colourway and we can send alternative colour swatches - for instance, we have several purples, pinks or ivories from which to choose. Specific colour matching of ribbons would be done at proofing stage unless you send us a piece of material to match at sample stage.
Samples are produced using our fictitious wording, although for Save-the-Date, Petal Wallets and Sweetheart Pockets with the attached heart or the Monogram designs, if you send us your fiancé's name & date of wedding we will customise these parts. We cannot produce samples requiring bespoke foiled names or initials as a special die has to be made for this (see our Cheque Book design with the bride & groom's names & wedding date), so the sample would be either be printed if on a pale cover or foiled with an existing die using someone else's name as an example if on a dark cover!
Bespoke invitations - we can often adapt our designs to your specific theme at no extra cost. We have added a butterfly, a fern and an Eiffel Tower to our Cheque Book cover and produced Lucky Charms with Venetian, Irish and Alice-in-Wonderland themes amongst others. Our popular Heart Swatch has been re-interpreted as an Autumn Leaf, Butterfly and Snowflake Swatch and we are always adding specific shapes to our Save-the-Date swatches and Glass Placecards. Just ask to see if it's possible. However, although as designers we can produce totally bespoke invitations to your individual ideas, there is a cost involved which is subject to quotation.
Sample Delivery - please normally allow 7 working days which gives us time to order in any particular colour if we don't have it in stock, although allow up to 28 days around the National Wedding Shows (February and October) due to the huge demand of samples requested.
Ordering - If you love the sample and choose one of our designs for your invitations, the next stage will be to provide a proof sample using your wording (this doesn't cost you anything). At this stage a 50% deposit is required with the balance due on completion plus Special Delivery or courier at cost. We then confirm colours and discuss any particular requirements. Subsequent amendments to the text will be via pdf.
